The exam review is designed to help you evaluate how well you have mastered the skills required for successful completion of the CCMA certification exam, as well as preparing you for employment as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. This exam review includes three components: EKG, Phlebotomy and Clinical Patient Care, with detailed topics for each component listed below:
The Certified EKG Technician (CET) component of the exam review contains six, online lecture workshop sessions each lasting approximately 1-hour in length. The sessions focus on the cardiovascular system, the use of equipment for electrocardiograms, the leads and lead placement, basic rhythm strip monitoring, artifacts and infection control along with the following topics:

The Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) component of the exam review is four, online lecture workshop sessions each lasting approximately 1-hour in length. The sessions explore the topics listed below including taking the phlebotomist from aseptic preparation through the drawing, preparation and handling of the specimen for lab processing.
